DJ Christian Barbuto began his career in the early 90's while living in Europe as a competitive cyclist for his native Australia. Having frequented the pounding underground techno clubs in The Netherlands and Belgium the foundation for dance music had been laid. In 1996 Christian came to the United States to the roaring rave scene of San Francisco. Big room sounds of progressive house, techno, funky house and tribal house as well as the soulful smooth house sounds of the Bay Area club scene, not to mention the deep underground sound of the after hours have resulted in Christian's sound today being an eclectic blend of deep funky organic rhythms with just enough vocal's that is today's pure modern house sound that's guaranteed to keep your ass shaking on the dance floor! Having shared deck time over the last 12 years with house legends such as Mark Farina, the Wicked Crew, Ben Davidson, Carmen Electro, Jake Esparza, Jeno and DJ Dan in San Francisco, Miami, Sacramento and Los Angles, Christian's mixing skills in the booth will impress any house music connoisseur!
Now living in Austin Christian is building a website under the heading of electricavenueatx.com to promote the dance music culture of Austin and educate new listeners to the global sound of house music and techno. electricavenueatx.com launches this September and will be the leading resource to everything house and techno in Austin. He also has a music production studio and is looking for musically inspired partners to work with.
