Jason Johnson, aka Jaysoul, grew up in New England during the heyday of the electronic music scene watching some of the grandparents of the scene and how it was done (A Book Called Galanta, K.C and the Sunrise Gang, Primary and The Warped Crew). He's been playing records for 15+ years,learning the craft from some of the greats. Influenced greatly by deep disco house and acid traxx, his choice in music resonates his past! From playing small house parties back in New England to the local circuit in the Midwest (Down low, Dark Alley, Lovebomb), the experience is undoubted! The Midwest is where Jaysoul released his first full length album, "Spiritual Elevation" (a co-production with friend Mr.Smith). As one of the founding members of Frameshft Recordings (00'-03') in Cleveland, Ohio, he is well versed in audio production. Jaysoul is also involved in production work, merch. sales, graphic design, and street team coordination for Funkybatz here in Austin (www.funkybatz.com).
