In just 2 short years, Mexico City born, Austin based Mikael Douglas (m.Douglas) has been drawing out a reputation as one of the most explosive performers in house and techno. With his Live/DJ setup using Ableton, it’s not hard to see why m.Douglas can tweak sound to its barest bones and bring out the fundamentals of music right before your ears.

Around 2005, Jonathan aka Mikael Douglas, attended his first DJ/Producer (max Graham) event in Mexico City. Max Graham had been no stranger to him, but experiencing the live performance, quality and sounds of modern House and Techno motivated Jonathan to learn electronic music production and performance. So he began building a selective collection of modern house and techno. Inclusively, it wasn’t long before he began envisioning an image for this passion and respects for electronic music, thus creating "PuroMinimal", a sub-culture. Purominimal is a vision of the underground community influenced by the clinical, forward thinking music scene of Modern Minimal Techno and House music all around the world.

During the last 2 years Mikael Douglas is an artist living a dual existence. By day, he works for himself as a respected Digital artist for various corporate media agencies. But by night, he leaves the visual world and crawls into another; a world of dark grooves and spicy rhythms, where m.Douglas expresses and spreads his musical soul and mind.
