Summer 2010! My God, what a blast it has been so far. There is so much activity surrounding the electronic music scene inside Austin these days it is truly incredible. DJ's from all over the world are requesting to come here, film crews are documenting what is going on and internationally known artists are moving here. I think it go's unsaid that in the last year the improvement to the sound and lighting systems around town has been exeptional. With systems sounding as good as Lanai, Barcelona and now (sounding and "looking" as good as) Encore on Red River we can confidently say our city rocks as well as feel good about putting touring "headliner" DJ's behind the city's DJ Booth's.
I hope that you all have been finding www.electricavenueatx.com useful to recap what is going on and to make your evening dance plan's. We have started to do a daily announcement on Face Book as to what premier events are taking place that night as well as what local venue's will be hosting EDM. If you have not already please join us at our facebook group page.
With that being said if there is one event not to miss this year it has to be Nocturnal Labor Day weekend being presented by Insomniac. Insomniac is by far the most powerful entity in large scale dance events in the U.S so we are soooo lucky to have it going on right here in Texas just a short hop skip and jump from Austin. Now just a friendly reminder of what the true goal of ElectricAvenueATX.com is. EAATX.com is a public information site designed to promote local electronic music to the masses, which will theoretically create increased demand for the sound of electronic music and result in even more events and create more gig opportunities for local djs. It is free to post an event publication and/or have a dj profile page.
